Cloakroom and practical info
At Stadsschouwburg Antwerpen, you leave your coat at the staffed cloakroom on the right side of the foyer; there are no lockers. Coming with little ones? Strollers and diaper bags can go in the cloakroom too, and you can borrow a booster cushion while supplies last. The doors usually open an hour before the performance, and the bars open at the same time.

Cloakroom
The guarded cloakroom is located on the right side of the foyer.
The price is 2 euros per coat hook, which can accomodate a maximum of 2 coats.
Opening of the doors
Information on timings can be found at the bottom of the event page a few days before the event. The doors usually open an hour before the start of the event. From then on you can have a snack and a drink at the bars.
Access to the venue
Show your own ticket at the entrance, not someone else’s: scanning goes faster that way. Is your ticket on your phone? Turn the brightness all the way up and make sure the screen isn’t cracked.
Only an A4-size handbag is allowed inside, and a number of items have to stay outside. The bag policy, the list of prohibited items and the exceptions for medical reasons are on the Safety page: house rules, bags and prohibited items.
Smoking and pets
Smoking is not allowed in the venue. Pets aren’t allowed either; a guide dog is, if you let us know in advance through the contact form.
Visiting with toddlers
A lot of children’s shows take place in Stadsschouwburg Antwerpen.
If you come to our theatre with small children, please keep the following in mind:
Buggies and diaper bags can be left safely in our guarded cloakroom.
A changing mat and a nappy container are available in the sanitary area.
You can borrow raised cushions for your little ones. These are available while supplies last.
Take the noise level at children's shows into account and provide your child with appropriate hearing protection.
Each visitor needs a ticket, even children who stay in a child car seat. For fire safety reasons, the theatre has a maximum number of people allowed, regardless of age.
