Low Emission Zone (LEZ)
Since 1 February 2017, the entire city centre of Antwerp and part of Linkeroever are a Low Emission Zone where the most polluting cars are no longer welcome. The Low Emission Zone is indicated with its own traffic sign. There are stricter conditions for admission as of 1 January 2020. Always check your vehicle with the check tool before entering the LEZ.
Do you drive a car that does not comply with the conditions and is not eligible for a temporary permit, but do you want to enter the Low Emission Zone anyway? Then you can purchase an LEZ day pass maximum eight times a year. This pass is available online or can be purchased from the parking meters in the city centre.
