Academy Award® winner Leonardo DiCaprio and Emmy® winner Claire Danes star as Romeo and Juliet in the bold reimagining that made Shakespeare feel dangerous and romantic for a new generation and continues to influence fashion, music, and culture today.

William Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet Film in Concert is presented on a giant cinema screen with the original dialogue and visuals fully intact. A hybrid ensemble performs the film’s score and music live, perfectly synchronized with the complete movie.

Blending rock and classical musicians with vocals, electronics, and a DJ, the performance brings Luhrmann’s signature fusion of classic storytelling and contemporary music to life.

Originally released on November 1, 1996, Romeo + Juliet opened at number one at the U.S. box office. The film became one of Luhrmann’s defining works, transforming Shakespeare’s tragedy into a maximalist MTV-era pop opera that still feels remarkably relevant three decades later.
