Charles Aznavour, born in 1924 - one hundred years ago - shaped generations with iconic tracks such as "La Bohème" and "Emmenez-moi”! He is one of the very few French singers to have enjoyed success internationally, in Europe, as well as in Asia and even America. And his songs were covered by some of the all-time greats, such as Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, Bing Crosby and many more! With over 1000 songs penned, 92 albums, 60 films and TV movies – he was also an actor – his career spanned some 80 years!

Ghassan Yammine is a musician, author, composer, performer and holds deep admiration for Charles Aznavour. He was fortunate enough to meet him on many occasions, with both men getting along tremendously and sharing many stories together. Ghassan’s performance of Aznavour is sensitive, respectful and authentic. His voice has a quality very close to that of Aznavour, whose works he performs while still maintaining his own identity.

Inspired by Aznavour’s concert at the Palais des Congrès in Paris in 1991, the “Ghassan Yammine sings Aznavour – The Tribute Concert” is certainly as captivating as the recent film of his life. Ghassan and his magnificent orchestra brilliantly perform some of his greatest hits – an elegant, classy portrayal, with everything needed for a spectacular show lasting nearly two hours!
